Actually there were several instances on THE TIME TUNNEL (ABC 1966-67) tv series when the two time wandering 20th Century scientists Tony Newman (James Darren) and Doug Phillips (Robert Colbert) would on occasion attire themselves in period clothing to avert any undue suspicion or hostility upon themselves.
I always thought that Doug embodied gentlemanly respectability in his early 20th Century tweed norfolk suit and gold tie while Tony was sharply hep in that cool green turtleneck sweater.
